Observation notes: Cool, sunny morning along the shoulder of the road. Very active little butterfly; wings mostly closed when at rest.

Coordinator notes: Tough one...location would seem to indicate a Norther Azure without question. However, the bright ventral base color and lack of HW fringe checkering would seem to favor a Summer Azure. There is increasing evidence of a more widespread spring brood of the classic Summer Azure, so this may be a candidate (it hasn't been documented in NB as far as I'm aware of...yet). -Jeff Gesell
