Coordinator notes: Oof...tough one. I agree that the orange HW patches look pretty good for a Northern. However, the antennal clubs are a pretty strong indicator of a Norther, typically having orange tips and an orange ventral surface. Although the ventral surface isn't clearly viewed in this photo, it appears they are gray in color. The pronounced lunules along the submarginal region of the HW are classic for a spring brood Pearl, and the date now with a slightly worn individual fits Pearl better (Northerns are just emerging). In other words, more points favor Pearl over Northern, but still not 100% confident. -Jeff Gesell
