Coordinator notes: This ID is tentative because I can't see the under hindwing markings which differentiate acastus from Northern Checkerspots (Chlosyne palla), in your area Acastus bands are dead white, palla's are dirty white....but the coloration and markings of the upperside are typical for nominate acastus at this time of the year.-Ken Davenport
