Coordinator notes: I am assuming this was found in the Kernville area, where I was and up the Kern River the same day. The only Mormon Metalmark at Kernville is cythera in late summer and fall, a mostly orange subspecies. Davenport's Metalmark (a subspecies of Apodemia virgulti can be sympatric with the metalmark you found, near subspecies deserti that has flights in late spring and early summer and in September/October-Ken Davenport
