Observation notes: Sunny, windy, temperature in the mid-60's. This butterfly was seen on Alyssum on a south facing slope near our house. The Alyssum and Dandelions are just starting to bloom.

Coordinator notes: Always nice to see Sheridan's...this one looks like a female and note...you can see two isolated white spots on the hindwing disc that are only well pronounced on a small percentage of either males or females. In the Crested Butte Valley north of Gunnison, this character is expressed more commonly, especially on the females. Hope you have a good spring and summer. Mike
