Observation notes: Seen briefly in a scree field. This was the only one I saw while I was here. This species seems to be observed quite rarely in New Mexico.

Coordinator notes: rarely indeed. Taos County scree fields generally above 11,500 feet. They will wander downslope toward the latter part of their flight season (late August) but their hosts are in the high scree, perhaps right alongside hosts for magdalena. Our previous early flight date was July 10, so you now have the early record. Nice work!
