Coordinator notes: As far as I know, the Southwestern Orange-tip is not found in the Durango area but it does fly over at Mancos across the "divide" west from your area...the markings on indicate julia (the "teeth" in the orange patch against the black wing tips are sharp (they are rounded on thoosa)...the ventral hindwings are more heavily patterned on thoosa (the SW) than julia (the Southern) and you can see through these wings in your photograph the markings are not extensive. Very early record however, may be the earliest known to date. Mike
