Observation notes: On that day it was partly sunny and about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The flower bed was on the side of our garage. The flowers are impatients. The butterfly was was very active visiting flower after flower. I observed it and video taped it for about 5 min before it flew away. I have never seen this species before or since.
