Observation notes: Near McGill Camp trail on North face of Mount Pinos. Sunny day in the 70’s F. Assuming these are Icaricia (lupini) chlorina due to the top side coloring different from Acmon and lupini monticola, host plant association with Sulphur Buckwheat, and relatively high elevation of ~7000 ft. This female has orange markings on the forewings but I don't think this is I. neurona since there was no Wright's Buckwheat growing nearby although there was some about a mile away and not blooming. There was also one mating attempt with one of the blue males and one of these females that I saw but wasn't able to get a picture of.
