Coordinator notes: It isn't uncommon to see individuals near the transition of the range from glaucus to canadensis with mixed characteristics of both species, although it is still too early in the year to see the "Midsummer Tiger," which is being proposed as a new species. This female seems to have some separation between the ventral FW submarginal yellow spots, a dark ventral HW anal band that doesn't extend halfway to the first vein, scalloped appearance of the ventral HW dark line at the blue/yellow transition, and a good amount of blue shading on the dorsal HW - all c/w P. glaucus. The ventral HW crescents are boxier, seen more in P. canadensis. Overall, more glaucus characteristics. -jmgesell
