Observation notes: I had been outside filling my bird feeders and I noticed this butterfly sitting on an orange slice on the Oriole feeder. I went to the seed bag and it came and landed on my hand which can be seen in the photograph. It sat there long enough for me to get my cellphone out, unlocked and the camera app ready. I think it stayed on the back of my hand for nearly a minute before flying off, but, it did stay in the vicinity for three minutes before moving on.
