Observation notes: Wingspan as posed about 64 mm. Found at the base of an outside wall upside down quivering. It had laid some eggs on the masonry.

Coordinator notes: I think this is likely to be part of the Hemileuca nevadensis species complex, but I've never seen this FW pattern. So genus is as close as I can get. It's an interesting sighting, and perhaps someone with more experience with these moths will have a clearer idea. JRains
