Observation notes: This butterfly was getting nectar from Blue Mist Flowers (Conoclinium coelestinum). It was in an area where it was in dappled sunlight, and it tended toward the flowers in the sunny parts. If I crossed the sun, throwing shade on the butterfly this would disturb it and it would briefly fly away, but then circle and quickly return to one of the flowers in the same general area. I didn't have to move. It came back to me.
