Observation notes: This lone Skipper was first seen hiding at the base of the front-yard patch of lavender, but flitted away when I got too close; however, it soon returned toward the lavender, to sun on nearby dried vegetation. Temperature was about 51 degrees F, with sun & cloud mix.
