Observation notes: Four Passionflower vine cuttings were transplanted around my fish pond, near my vegetable garden last fall. This spring/summer they have grown tremendously. I noticed the butterflies about a week ago, and spotted the caterpillars munching the vine leaves and a few chrysalis on and around the passionflower vines this week.

Coordinator notes: I have perennial passion vine in my garden, 9 yrs now. Unfortunately at my Kansas location we do not have Gulf Fritillary every year, been three yrs since I saw a specimen. Thank you! JAMES STEEN
