Coordinator notes: Checkered White...newly emerged male (summer flight)...Western White would have heavier black markings on the outer edges of the upper forewings (and probably on the underside of the hindwings...they are none on the summer Checkered White males) and the Spring White (which would have flown in April, May to early June depending on location) has a very complete maculation over the veins on the underside of the hindwings (and heavier black markings on the upper forewings similar to the markings on the Western White).
