Observation notes: I'm stumped by this one. To me it most closely resembles a few of the roadside skippers. I think it was too large to be a common roadside. It looks a bit like a sheep skipper, but that's not local at all. Maybe a bronze roadside, except for the dark dark "lines" on the ventral hind wing, and the two white spots along its edge.
