Coordinator notes: If you look closely at the HW, the subtle post-median/sub marginal spots would rule out C. interior (there aren’t any markings on the HW except the central silver spot). Also, C. interior rarely has a “satellite spot” next to the larger central silver spot on the HW. Ventral views alone make the differentiation between C. philodice (Clouded) and C. eurytheme (Orange) nearly impossible at times, however on this individual you can see the black banding through from the dorsal side. The narrow appearance favors C. philodice. Generally speaking, prominent pink highlights are common in many Colias species, and are not specific to C. interior. -jmgesell
