Observation notes: Leafwing was displaying, foraging, resting, and defending territory of an open area where Sotol Creek crosses the Pine Tree Trail above Aguirre Springs Campground. Individual preferred perches on dead branches and trunks. The afternoon was sunny, windy, and warm.

Coordinator notes: Is it possible that Tropical has replaced Goatweed in the Organ Mtns? Amazing. and these are terrific images, Jim. I don't recall ever seeing one take moisture, which you have now documented. and I'd like to borrow one or two images for BofNM if that's OK with you.
