Bronze Roadside-Skipper
Amblyscirtes aenus

Observation date: April 09, 2023
Submitted by: Marta Reece
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: In the bottom of a narrow canyon with steep walls. Near the mouth of the canyon. Warm day with very little wind.
Status: Resident
Verified by: stevecary
Verified date: April 10, 2023
Coordinator notes: Marta, the VHW outer row of light marks has the middle dot projecting inward, making it Amblyscirtes rather than Atrytonopsis, on which it projects outward. Within the Amblyscirtes, it could be either texanae or aenus. the boldness of the VHW light spots leads me to Bronze Roadside-skipper.
