Zerene Fritillary
Speyeria zerene

Observation date: March 03, 2023
Date notes: Actual photo taken July 14, 2018.
Submitted by: Cathieann0508
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: It did have the shiny silver spots on the underside of the wings. Must be a great Fritillary, but I am not sure which one...
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: I am going with Zerene here because hydaspe and irene are usually unsilvered. These can be tough even with actual specimens. Speyeria callippe shasta is also similar and has silvered spots, but smaller in size.-Ken Davenport
