Observation notes: Attracted to MV lamp set up in forest clearing; trees in immediate area dominated by walnut, sycamore, Black Locust and hackberry. Apparent body length of 6 mm.

Coordinator notes: Now <i>Eucosma parmatana</i> (Clemens, 1860), formerly placed in the genus <i>Phaneta</i>, Zootaxa. 3746(2): 301-337, includes as synonyms [2933] <i>Eucosma marmontana</i> (Kearfott, 1907) in Wright & Gilligan, 2015:82 and [2931] <i>Phaneta crispana</i> (Clemens, 1865), a phenotype that may show much orange coloration, [3187] <i>Phaneta kennebecana</i> (Kearfott, 1907), [2930] <i>Phaneta perfuscana</i> (Heinrich, 1923), [2934] <i>Phaneta sinestrigana</i> (McDunnough, 1938) and [2932] <i>Phaneta alterana</i> (Heinrich, 1923) in Miller (1983).
