Observation notes: Saw only this one on a hill top near my house in san Clemente, A friend told me he has the orange county record for this species. Been seeing lots of sleepy orange, queens, dainty sulphur, in the area since the monsoons were so good in the desert. This butterfly I have not seen west of the Anza Borrego Desert until today. Hundreds of Dainty sulphur, one gray hairstreak lots of cloudless, a few large orange sulphur, also orange sulphur, Anise swallowtail, monarch, marine, and pygmy blue.
