Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Several large bushes of Turpentine Bush (Ericameria laricifolia) on the grounds of Bear Mountain Lodge attracted nearly 30 butterfly species and several moth species. Good numbers of most butterflies, but only single individuals of a few.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Joe, this is a very bizarre sighting. Anicia is a spring flyer in SW NM and SE AZ, with all prior NM reports before May 10. A quick check of Bailowitz & Brock 2022 (p. 170) indicates that fall observations are known from Gila County, AZ. This is consistent with that. the first autumn individual for NM, however. nice work! May I please borrow a pic for BofNM?
