Observation notes: I raised it to verify which butterfly it is. The host plant Calliandra inequalatera (powderpuff tree). The white eggs are laid on flower or leaf buds. The caterpillars eat the buds and new foliage. The chrysalis lay flat on the leaves. It pupated eight days. I released it back on the host plant.
