Observation notes: I have an established butterfly bush along with roses, marigolds & petunias. This butterfly was on the butterfly bush. I have been watching them all summer & I have been identifying & logging for a week. This is the only sighting, so he is not one of my regular butterflies.

Coordinator notes: Female dark form of species. Here in Harvey Co Kansas it seems the dark form outnumbers the yellow form females about 80%. They use my butterfly bushes and Mexican Sunflowers. Thank you! JAMES STEEN
