Observation notes: Butterfly nectaring on Arnica amplexicaulis. Parker Creek turnout along NF-3010 road. Elevation is approximately 3,100 feet. Habitat: Small, riparian roadside waterfall with mossy rock faces along shoulders of road both directions from the waterfall. Mixed conifer and deciduous forest. Sunny in the afternoon, shaded in the morning. Mix of deciduous and conifer trees, deciduous shrubs and perennials.
