Observation notes: Is this a non-native Spilosoma lubricipedia (European White Ermine Moth) It was stunningly bright white against the dark green Trumpet Vine. It certainly doesn’t fit the description of the North American Ermine Moth (Yponomeutidae). I searched through databases for photos of North American Ermine Moths, but I couldn’t find this one. I searched UK databases and found it looks more like the European Ermine Moth. This photo was taken in Marion County, Indiana.
