Observation notes: It was a sunny hot day and the moth caterpillar was observed on a gravel path. The path is located in Blakeburn Lagoons park Port Coquitlam, in the center of a restored park, near the large ponds. The nearby vegetation includes thimbleberry, invasive blackberry, and grasses. The insect was struggling to walk across the gravel and sand.
