Observation notes: It was warm and sunny out I looked over on my neighbors car and saw this moth basking in the sun. I went out a little while later and it slower wings came down and I saw the eyes on it and then it flew away. I have lived in Virginia Beach Virginia since 1983 and have never seen this type of moth.
