Observation notes: I netted it and tried to get a photo but was mostly only able to get one through the net. It did have a row of tiny white spots on the tops of the wings. I did not see it land on a plant, it was fluttering through grasses. It was 66 degrees and mostly sunny, slight breeze.

Coordinator notes: there is a remote possibility that it is a Mexican Sootywing, but Common Sootywing is far more likeley.
