Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: July 09, 2022
Submitted by: Jenny Leat
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: None.
Status: Resident

Verified date: August 07, 2022
Coordinator notes: A female - which can be determined by the yellow spots seen on the black FW border from above, and can be seen through on the ventral FW view on this individual. The orangish tint to the FW confirms an Orange Sulphur over a Clouded Sulphur. A Pink-edged Sulphur female (or male for that matter) would not have the yellow spots on the black FW border, and also would not have any orange coloration. The pink highlights can be seen in most Sulphur species, and are not specific to the Pink-edged Sulphur. -jmgesell
