Coordinator notes: Catocala minuta has many variations. If you crop and adjust the photo the details show up. Here's one that matches -- https://bugguide.net/node/view/909723/bgimage There are also some on iNaturalist that also resemble this moth. If you haven't yet tried using iNaturalist, you might find the site interesting. The second suggestion from iNat was for Catocala minuta. Patterns on moth do not match that of Syngrapha rectangula.
