Coordinator notes: Based on where you found this, yours should be chalcedona but in the Mt. Shasta area, Snowberry Checkerspots (Euphydryas colon) also occurs. This was one of the problems I was trying to resolve in that region. The results are not back yet but colon is not expected in the Trinity Alps. I wish you had an upperside photo. A chalcedona I took on Mt. Shasta looks more like colon, and maybe it really is! Even Warren in his Oregon book was not sure how to divide these two-Ken Davenport
