Observation notes: This butterfly was in a hurry. Though it stopped to visit some Rudbeckia triloba flowers, it didn't stay long on any one flower and after 4 or 5 short visits to different flower heads it flew away. It looked very fresh. Perhaps it emerged from its chrysalis recently. I was lucky to get the photo before it left.
