Observation notes: The moth was spotted on a white wall in my apartment building, about 5 and a half feet off the floor, motionless, at 5:24 pm. Three hours later it was still there, still motionless, so we captured it and released it in the park across the street. (It flew away just fine.) Outside at the time of the original sighting, it was clear and about 75 degrees F.
