Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Near a floodlight on my deck. Very busy here the last couple nights. I find that I can now recognize a lot of moths as I see them instead of having to take a picture and thumb or scroll through the guides, I might actually be learning something :-). Having said that, this was a challenging one and there is much I still don't know.

Coordinator notes: I think that Pubitelphusa latifasciella is a better match based on the markings and outline of the moth. This moth has a number of variations. You also posted another of the variations (1333254) for the same date so this makes the ID more likely. See https://bugguide.net/node/view/929869 for the variations. I can recognize some moths that I've seen before by sight but I still have to search for the scientific name most times except for a few of the more common ones. Between all the new moth photos being posted on BAMONA and iNat this year is proving to be very helpful.
