Observation notes: It seemed like both. Wasn’t sure what stage it was at but it definitely had wings with a huge caterpillar body

Coordinator notes: This moth had emerged from the soil moments earlier after pupating underground since the previous year. In these photos it was attempting to inflate its wings before its maiden flight. Interesting observation!
