Observation notes: Several of these hanging onto their Sulphur Buckwheat host plants as the afternoon winds kicked up. This large patch of Sulphur Buckwheat was the only type of Buckwheat growing in the area. Should be ssp. Comstockii based on location in the Piute Mountains at~8000 ft elevation.
