Observation notes: Have been in this area for 10 years and have never seen a butterfly with 6-8 inch wingspread. Stayed for 2 days in sheltered part of carport. Only moved once. Very docile. Gently probed but would not fly. Sunny weather, 80 F. Coin in picture is 1 inch across.
