Coordinator notes: I was in Fresno County at the Coalinga Mineral Springs area Monday and collected some of these checkered skippers. Based on current knowledge everything in Fresno County is communis, I suspecies albescens gets in that county as well. I am going to have 2 males genitalia checked and do DNA work on the females. As you know, field marks don't work on these. Strangely, I had a female Eastern Tailed Blue there in the Coast Ranges!...Ken Davenport
