Observation notes: Mating pair. Since these are on California Buckwheat they should be the nominate subspecies and not the Santa Monica mountains ssp that utilizes Ashleaf Buckwheat as a host. Near Gillette Ranch loop trail. Cloudy day in the 60’s F.
