Observation notes: Possible species placement suggested by the Seek app. Approximately 1/4 inch in length. In sparse grass of a field of sandy soil.

Coordinator notes: This is one of the less commonly-seen moths. Used a combo of iNaturalist, MPG and Bugguide for the search. (Phaneta autumnana on BAMONA since they are using an older name) I don't know if you post on iNaturalist, but I would recommend it. Using iNaturalist got me to Genus and from there searched on BG. Then posted Eucosma autumnana back into iNaturalist search which pulled up photos of the moth from across the USA. Only 8 of them so far.
