Observation notes: A pleasant, sunny day, temperature around 23 degrees Celsius, light winds. We encountered several of the butterflies while hiking through trails that were wet and muddy from snow melt. The butterflies were very active flitting around us and would settle only when we were at a distance, except for this one.

Coordinator notes: Though very similar to grey comma, this specimen will be smaller, the hindwing markings are clearer, and the wing edges are more irregular.
