Observation notes: Red-spotted admiral perched on Arizona ash tree and defending territory, mostly chasing after mourning cloaks. This site is located in the creek bed near the beginning of Pine Tree Trail, above Aguirre Springs Campground, on the east-facing slope of the Organ Mountains. The day was under bright sun, cool, and windy with gusts.
