Observation notes: This was another extra-tiny skipper, but it lacks the white/gray "shoulders" indicative of small checkered. Still, I'm assuming this falls within normal color variation for small checkered, but am submitting just to be sure.

Coordinator notes: Glassberg (2017) says shoulders "usually" buffy, which means not always. The other diagnostic features (weak HW fringe checks, no basal white spot on HW) all match with Small C-S. Seems you found their happy place!
