Observation notes: Individuals nectaring from willow tall shrub flowers/catkins on the bank of the Rio Grande. They spend time "inside" the canopy and can be difficult to bring into focus as a result. The day was warm, under full sun. and with a strong W-to-E wind affecting the shrubs on their western exposure.
