Observation notes: Butterfly was perched on Arctostaphylos patula in the sun at Denver Botanic Gardens. Day was sunny and warm, not very windy although the previous 4 days had been unusually windy.

Coordinator notes: This is the Hoary Comma...a smaller comma than the Questionmark...but not uncommon in the Denver city limits in spring as some migrate from the mountains and hibernate over winter. You should be able to easily compare these two commas from photos on the BAMONA website. Thanks for your submission with the very good photo. Mike
