Observation notes: Several species were nectaring on sumac flowers - great purple hairstreak, duskywings, red admirals most noticeably - on a beautiful 70 degree day along the Dripping Springs Trail below Van Patten’s Camp. Oak and Mexican buckeye populate this area in numbers and size.
