Observation notes: Mating pair! I first saw these when they flew down the canyon wash and landed ahead of me. I inched closer to them, and when I was a few feet away they flew onto a stalk of Sideoats grama and stayed there for a while. They didn't care when I got close for these photos. They were still on the stalk of grass when I left. The marbling on the ventral side of the wings is very pretty.
